We are delighted to announce the release of our new Messenger feature.
What is Messenger ?
Messenger is a widget you can place on your Help Centre, or easily build into your own websites to give users quick access to Deskpro features.
It is the evolution of our chat widget and is similar in concept.
However as well as a sleek new design it includes greatly enriched functionality.
Chat was just that - a chat widget. Messenger is an app that contains numerous Deskpro features, so not only can you launch chats through it. You can also open tickets and access the knowledgebase as well!
The options around handling chats where there is no agent available are greatly improved too.
How do I enable Messenger?
Messenger will be enabled by default on new instances (created on version 2020.1.5 onwards).
If you have an existing instance which was upgraded to a version with Messenger you can enable it in your Admin Dashboard.
